"Inviting, inspiring, and unapologetically pretty."

Upton Grey is a floral design studio based in Pasadena, CA, serving greater Los Angeles, and available for travel. Our aesthetic celebrates exquisitely natural, abundant designs with an emphasis on seasonal & American blooms. A little wild, very romantic, and steeped in English Garden technique, our florals evoke tranquility, playfulness, and sophistication. We believe that the most beautiful floral designs "leave space for the butterflies", as Mother Nature intended. As such, you'll often find flowering branches and elegant line flowers reaching out of our arrangements, inviting the eyes to wander and discover gorgeous fragrant blooms tucked within the design-- not unlike the discovery of walking through a garden. Textural accents such as herbs, lichen branches, wild berries, and rare American foliages round out the sensory experience, bringing new delights with each season.

Unlike traditional florists, Upton Grey is studio based. This means we work exclusively with private clients for events, weddings, editorials, and corporate floral orders. Our events range from intimate dinner parties of 10 guests, to expo halls filled with 6,000+ attendees. Bespoke floral gift designs are available to order during peak holiday seasons and by special request year-round. Working intimately with each client ensures our full attention to detail and plenty of one-on-one communication with owner and lead designer, Victoria Ketcham. We invite you to take a peak at our portfolio on the home page, and for daily flower inspiration, visit our Instagram @uptongreyfloral

About Victoria

Born and raised in upstate New York, Victoria relocated to Los Angeles after graduating from Ithaca College. She enjoyed a successful 10-year Hollywood career as an Assistant Camera Operator, but felt creatively unfulfilled. As a long time floristry hobbyist, the prospect of becoming a floral designer was always relegated to the fantasy of "someday". However, after the loss of her mother, Victoria resolved to embrace the impetus of creativity born from grief, seize her passion, and take the leap of faith to follow her dream. She attended floristry courses with the American Institute of Floral Designers, the Los Angeles School of Flower Design, and local florists. About one year later, Upton Grey officially launched.

Most recently, Victoria was the first American to attend the world-renowned Jay Archer Floral Design Flower School in England. It was there that she refined her personal style of an "English Garden Romantic" aesthetic while concentrating specifically on wedding designs under the tutelage of Jay Archer herself. On her commute to flower school each morning through the bucolic English countryside, she passed through the village of Upton Grey in Hampshire County. Inspired by its idyllic storybook charm, beautiful manors, and winding roads, she chose to pay homage to the place and time which inspired her development and joy as an artist. As fate would have it, weeks after naming her business, Victoria's sister discovered that their ancestors had arrived to America in 1752 on a British ship named none other than "The Upton".

Victoria resides in Pasadena, California with her beloved husband Jeffrey and their darling rescue pup, Ruben.
